It’s Christmas RomCom time!

Part of the fun with Holiday RomComs is the predictability. We all like to poke a little fun at the boss babe returning to her too-small town only to be swept up by the hidden romance of the place that she completely missed as a kid. And of course, the boy she had a crush on finally appreciates her.

But that’s why we love them. They are comfort watches, no big surprises, just little treats when they present us with a new twist on the story. The hometown boy follows her back to the city. No one’s parents are going to lose the farm/restaurant/house. The snippy cousin turns out to be the best wingman and not the villain.

We absolutely love it when he wipes a smudge of flour from her cheek during the requisite cookie baking scene. And those meaningful conversations in the snow, are just the best. Let’s not forget the bumbling town sheriff/dad wanting to make sure those kids don’t get into trouble.
